Our Methodology
Our BaZi calculator uses the following methodology:
- Solar terms (节气) — We use true solar time and exact solar term boundaries to determine month pillars, following the traditional Zi Ping method.
- True solar time — Birth time is adjusted for the exact longitude and latitude of the birth location, not just the time zone.
- Heavenly Stems & Earthly Branches — All Four Pillars (Year, Month, Day, Hour) are calculated using the traditional sexagenary cycle (六十甲子).
- Ten Gods analysis — Each element relationship is mapped using the Ten Deities system for nuanced personality and destiny interpretation.
- Luck Pillars (大运) — Decade luck pillars are calculated based on the solar term distance from birth, following classical gender-based directional rules.
