Content Standards
At MyBaziDestiny, we are committed to publishing content that is accurate, well-researched, and genuinely helpful. This editorial policy outlines how we create and maintain our content.
1. Research & Sources
All our content is based on:
- Classical Chinese astrology texts (滴天髓, 渊海子平, 三命通会, 穷通宝鉴)
- Established BaZi calculation methods (Zi Ping system)
- Educational research on Chinese calendrical traditions and Wu Xing theory
We distinguish general zodiac-year traditions from calculations that require a complete birth date and time. When we reference Western astrology for comparison, we clearly label it as a separate system.
2. Accuracy & Verification
Our content undergoes the following verification process:
- Calculation verification: Four Pillars calculations are tested against known sexagenary-day anchors and solar-term boundary cases.
- Scope verification: Pages must not present a birth-year profile as a complete BaZi chart or a personalized Luck Pillar calculation.
- Claim review: Names, dates, calendar boundaries, and other factual statements must be checked or removed.
- Zodiac year verification: All Chinese zodiac year assignments are verified against the sexagenary cycle (e.g., 2026 = 丙午 Fire Horse, not Fire Snake).
3. Content Review Process
Every article and guide follows this process:
- Draft: Initial content is written based on research and source materials.
- Review: Content is checked for factual consistency, calculation scope, terminology, and unsupported claims.
- Edit: Clarity, readability, and educational value are refined.
- Publish: Content is published with canonical URLs, appropriate indexing rules, and structured metadata where relevant.
- Update: Content is reviewed when calculation logic, annual references, or source material changes.
4. Cultural Editor and Authorship
Daoist Priest Ye Qingchun (叶青春道长), abbot of Huizhou Yuanmiao Taoist Temple, serves as MyBaziDestiny’s traditional culture editor. His editorial scope covers Taoist cultural context, BaZi terminology, Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches, the Five Elements, traditional calendrical culture, and Chinese naming traditions.
Article pages distinguish the MyBaziDestiny editorial team from the named cultural editor. Calendar code and test vectors are maintained as reproducible technical work; a cultural title is not used as a substitute for software testing or astronomical evidence.
MyBaziDestiny is an independent educational website. It is not the official website of Huizhou Yuanmiao Taoist Temple, and the temple is not presented as endorsing the site’s commercial services.
5. AI-Assisted Drafting
Drafting, translation, research organization, or editing may be assisted by digital tools, including generative AI. Assisted text is not treated as a source. Published factual claims must still be checked against cited material, calculation outputs, or clearly identified public records, and uncertain birth times or disputed facts must be disclosed.
6. Corrections Policy
We take factual errors seriously. If we discover an error in our content:
- We correct it as soon as possible
- We update the visible revision date and structured data when an article is materially revised
- For significant corrections, we note the change in the article
If you spot an error, please check the published calculator method, reproduce the relevant public test case, and contact us through the site. We appreciate corrections from our community.
7. Content Independence
Our educational content is independent of our premium reading products. Free articles are not “teasers” designed to upsell — they are complete, standalone educational resources. Premium readings offer personalized, chart-specific analysis that goes beyond what general articles can cover.
8. Privacy & Data
The BaZi chart calculation runs locally in the browser, and MyBaziDestiny does not currently offer user accounts. Browser storage may preserve entered details or paid access on that device. We do not sell user data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.
9. Advertising & Sponsorship
Any sponsored content or advertisements will be clearly labeled. We do not accept sponsored content that contradicts our editorial standards or promotes astrological misinformation.
10. Date & Last Updated
This editorial policy was last updated on September 12, 2026. We review this policy at least annually.
